support safe, stable housing
Defending davidson county residents
With over 14,000 evictions in Davidson County, our community, especially our immigrant neighbors, is at risk of losing their homes.
When you donate to our eviction defense campaign, you’re helping folks stay in their homes, in their communities, and thrive in safer living conditions. Your contribution toward our $25,000 goal will provide legal and social service support for 15 families at risk of eviction.
what your donation helps support
Direct legal support for folks facing eviction or living in unsafe homes. Our legal team is equipped to defend renters in two ways:
Eviction Defense: Defending renters against a lawsuit filed by their landlord.
Affirmative Litigation: Suing landlords on renters' behalf for violating the lease or housing laws.
Culturally sensitive social work care for clients needing additional emotional, physical, and community navigation support. Our bilingual Director of Social Work attends court with clients, helps with rental and utility applications, and navigates housing options.
Protecting renters’ rights through educational “Know Your Rights” resources. Housing laws exist to protect vulnerable populations. While our attorneys fight to hold landlords accountable, it is especially empowering for renters to know their rights and advocate for themselves.
