Executive Director
Anne Boatner is an experienced tenants’ rights attorney who leads RRTN's multidisciplinary team of legal professionals, social workers, and housing advocates.
Before joining the team in 2024, Anne was a staff attorney with the Eviction Prevention Initiative at Legal Aid of East Tennessee in Chattanooga, where her creative, compassionate, and enthusiastic housing advocacy earned her the 2023 Tennessee Bar Association’s Ashley T. Wiltshire Public Service Attorney of the Year. Anne studied political science and philosophy at Brooklyn College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She earned her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.
Anne will gladly talk your ear off about her professional interests, which include housing justice, federally subsidized housing regulations, nonprofit governance in late capitalism, and how to be an effective and impactful boss when the world is falling apart.
In her free time, Anne enjoys cooking, travel, music, and taking really long walks.
